Michelle Cottam's new book, Charles Dickens: A People's Person, is being released on February 3, 2023!

Dear Charles Dickens fans,

I hope you will enjoy reading my new book. This book is a detailed biography packed with 202 pages of information on the life, times, and works of Charles Dickens and nineteenth century London.I have also written some fictional scenes in my book which has been a very exciting new experience for me.

Charles Dickens is famously known for his books, notably, A Christmas Carol, but he was also a social reformer and an advocate of justice for the poorest and most vulnerable in society.

Queen Victoria, who was the last monarch to reign during Charles Dickens lifetime, was said to be very fond of him and had read several of his books. She once commented that, "He is very agreeable with a pleasant voice and manner".

Even today Charles Dickens is one of the world's most enduring and adored writers. Dickens has a unique style of writing and opens a door in his books that welcomes everyone into his world. His books are still as famous today as they were when he wrote them over a hundred years ago.
